The civilization of Greece was filled with many epics, or stories, of spectacular heroes overcoming various forces and obstacles. These stories were often highly illustrated dramatizations of non-fictional events. Using your notes from class and the Internet, effectively answer the following statement and question:
1) Which war/epic would you consider to be the most important to Greek culture? Why? (Ex. Peloponnesian War, Persian War, Odyssey, etc.)
2) Which two gods of Olympus would you consider to be your favorite? Why?

The Persina War because they fought aganist the greeks. The war had many battles under it such as the battle of evetria battle of the martons also the battles of the thermopylae and the battle of plataea. All the battles had something to do with the greeks. My favor Greek gods are are Zeus and Hades cause they both have many diffrent ways of acts and also has played rolles in movies
ReplyDeleteI choose the Persian War as the most important thing to Greek Culture because of the way it was faught and the ending. The war was very important to the Greeks because they won of course. The war also had various battles which made it even harder for the Greeks which greatly impacted Greek Culture.

I chose Zeus because he's the supreme ruler of the gods and that's pretty awesome being the god of gods.
I chose Apollo because he's the god of music and that's pretty awesome as well because I love music so much.
1)Oddysey because it mainly centers the Greek hero Odyssues and his long journey home following the fall of Troy.

I would have to say that Zues and Apollo.I say Zues because he rules everyone he's the god of the gods and takes control of all of all the gods.The reason I said Apollo is because i like the name and he's the god of music,the light and the sun.I enjoy listening to music as well that's why Zues and Apollo are my two favorite gods
1)well i considered the odyssey the most important epic of that time because it was a sequel to the Iliad and those two where the most interesting stories of that time to me.
